Turangi Ski Hire was begun by the late Jim Heappey 32 years ago. Today, the business is carried on by Jim's wife Elle.
Ski Hire manager, John Ball brings a world of experience to the business. For 20 years, John directed ski schools on Mt Ruapehu's Whakapapa and Turoa Ski Fields.
He also spent 35 years working in the ski industry in the northern hemisphere instructing and directing ski schools and race programmes. John and his wife Ali owned Troll Ski & Snowboard at Troll Resort in British Columbia, Canada.

Avoid the early morning hassle
You can avoid the hassle and rush of renting on the day you ski or snowboard by hiring your gear anytime after 2:30 pm on the day before at no extra charge.
Weather Warranty
We provide credit/refunds in case the ski areas close due to weather conditions.
We accept Eftpos, most major credit cards as well as Barter Card. Please note there is a floor limit on Barter Card.
